Givers は国際ボランティア活動を行う学生団体です。東京の上智大学に本拠を置き、現在100名以上の会員がいます。 国内のGivers 活動は主に、自然保護、動物福祉、子供支援という 3 つの社会福祉になります。日本では、毎月のビーチクリーン活動に取り組み、殺処分されそうな動物の里親探しを協力したり、貧困状態でd暮らしていたり、いじめを乗り越える子供たちに学習支援などを行なっています。また、複数のイベントに参加し、資金を集め、より大きなプロジェクトに使用します。

Givers の活動や成果は、朝日新聞や、ミラサス SDGs、ジャパン タイムズ、やFind Sophia などの様々なメディアに掲載されております (リンクは下部にあります)。

中でも特に力を入れているのが国際活動のエルサルバドルプロジェクトという企画です。こちらは毎年3月にはアパネカ市にある小学校2校と高校1校及びエル・ゾンテビーチ周辺のコミュニティを訪問し、活動しています。このプロジェクトの目的は子どもたちに明るい未来を与え、貧困から脱却するための多くの機会を提供するために、持続可能で長期的な支援を提供することです。


当団体は2022年11月に設立され、2023年の3月に初のエルサルバドルプロジェクトを実行いたしました。渡航期間中はダンス、空手、日本文化、そして英語の授業の2週間の集中コースを実施し、特に高校生を対象に地元で採れる食材を使った実現可能なラーメンレシピの作成など、ビジネスアイデアを育む練習となるアクティビティを考案しました。

2024年には、新たに日本哲学と結びつけた生涯学習やビットコインの教育、英語トレーニング、動画編集スキル、そしてエクセル教育行いました。また、集めた資金を使い、インターネットルータ、プロジェクター、そしてスクリーンを3つの学校と1つのコミュニティーに提供することができました。

ビットコインの教育を行う計画は、2019年以来にエルサルバドルで通貨としてビットコインが採用されたことにより計画されました。Giversとしての目標は、現地の人々にこの技術を活用するための正確で実践的な知識を提供することです。

現在は、学生に動画編集のスキルを使ってブログを作成してもらうアルバイトの機会を作り、ビットコインにより安全に素早く給料を送ることができる仕組みの構築することを目指しています。これらのアルバイトで制作されたブログは、私たちの社会学的研究材料として活用します。こちらを使用して子供達の私生活や、学校では見れない風景をみた上で、本当に必要なものや私たちが今後取り組めそうなものを探し出していきます。また、Giversのウェブサイトにウログを載せ、視聴者が寄付を通じて直接家族を支援できるオンライン上の仕組みにも取り組んでいます。

今回みなさまの前でお話しさせていただくものは、ビットコインの概念を Z 世代に広めることを目的とした新しいプロジェクトのプレゼンテーションです。楽しんでいただけたら光栄です。

入学試験合格率17.5%というプログラミングスクール『コードクリサリス』創業者。日本とスリランカで育ち、日本・アメリカの大手IT企業で働く。シリコンバレーで用いられている開発手法の効果を体感し「このやり方を日本に伝えたい。日本を再び技術大国にしたい」と退職、「プログラミングスクールのハーバード大学」と呼ばれるスクールへ入学する。卒業後、六本木にコードクリサリスを共同設立。トヨタ自動車、メルカリ、NRI、NTTデータなど、日本を代表する企業が研修を受けている。現在は「ITの松下村塾」を目指し、日本企業のDXを推進する人材育成支援を拡大中。
